Samir Husni (a.k.a. Mr. Magazine") reports 1,067 consumer magazine launches in 1998

New York City: Oxbridge Communications, Inc., publisher of Samir Husni’s Guide to New Consumer Magazines uses its MediaFinder.com and MrMagazine.com websites to unveil the record number of consumer magazine launches featured in the 1999 edition of the Guide.

According to Mr. Magazine" "I started tracking new magazine launches 21 years ago, and I have never seen a year like 1998, complete with a record number of new titles. A non-stop force of new magazines were launched throughout the year, even in the doldrums of December when the number of new titles was more than double the number of launches the previous December."
