Members of America's growing "slot culture" compose the target market for Strictly Slots, subtitled "the magazine for slot and video poker players." Gaming machines constitute the most lucrative customer section in the casino industry today, claiming more than half the total amount wagered on legal gambling in the US in 1997.

Casino Journal Publishing Group publishes the magazine, along with Casino Player and Casino Journalthe industry's primary trade magazine. Many of Strictly Slots' editors and writers, such as Editor-in-Chief Adam Fine hold the same posts at her two sister publications.

Publisher's research indicates that the typical slot player is between the ages of 41 to 50 years old, has a college education and an income of over $51,000 per year. Surveys have indicated that this typical casino patron considers benefiting from the social and entertainment aspects of the gaming environment a higher priority than the chance of going home with a full pocketbook. These findings indicate that there is a market for a lifestyle magazine for this narrow and easily-located group.

Inside Strictly Slots, readers will find ratings for every new slot and video poker machine on the market, as well as new strategies to prolong their playing times. Highlights include feature stories on slot club promotions and reward programs, interviews with slot hosts, photo spreads on player lounges and features on jackpot winners.
