A tag line like "Where every day's a holiday!" may not conjure images of a cigar lifestyle magazine, but that's what Smoke Affair is trying to promote.

Features in every issue will focus on a prominent cigar personality, "smokin'" females (women who love their occupations and adore their cigars), torcedores ("behind every great cigar is a great roller") and smokin' night out (best restaurants, clubs, bars, or pubs). Departments include "Smoke Affair Cigar Puffs" ("one cigar you'll want in your humidor"), "Smoke Affair Smoke Rings" ("objective blind tasting of premium cigars rated by regions"), "Smoke Affair Gallery" ("a look at accessory trends in the cigar market"), "Smoke Signals" (industry tidbits and announcements) and "Publisher's Forum" (publisher's letter).

Smoke Affair claims a 60 percent readership under age 45, with 82 percent of their readers having a college degree and 58 percent being in professional, managerial or sales positions.

The majority of the 35,000 circulation is distributed to newsstands, bookstores, major chains, airports and wine & spirit shops; 7,500 copies are sold at retail tobacco trade shows; 5,000 copies are sold through smoke shop sales and 4,900 are through paid subscriptions; and 10,000 are distributed via five alternate routes. The quarterly publication sells for $3.50 in the U.S. Smoke Affair celebrates and promotes a lifestyle that would not be complete without a premium cigar.
