One of the most enduring discussions among philosophers and artists is what, exactly, art is. This is not an issue for me to decide in this book, but it is interesting to ponder when new magazines like Vellum are launched. Launching Vellum was a risky venture, since appealing to such an exclusive segment of the population can be costly when advertisers are looking to gain as much ground as possible. Fortunately, the editors were able to launch the first issue without too great of a reliance on advertisers. However, the exclusive appeal will no doubt reap some exclusive dollars from readers dedicated to perpetuating the art of fashion photography. | |||
