Crunch
A fitness magazine with nothing, literally, to do with fitness. It sounds like a bad idea, but when backed by one of the larger fitness chains in the United States, this magazine concept gained merit. In January, it was published by Profile Pursuits, one of the many custom publishing companies in the country. In a year when custom publishing was one of the few magazine sectors to see notable gains, Crunch magazine ruled the custom roost, so to speak, with its laid-back approach to fitness, appealing across generations.
