In part response to the economy after Sept. 11, in part filling a hole in the living magazine genre, Budget Living launched its premiere issue in October. Independently financed, Budget Living put out 225,000 newsstand copies, and consumers lapped them up, lured in by the magazines tag line, "Spend Smart. Live Rich. This isnt in question form, and everyone with a brain would most likely be mesmerized by this philosophy. For, even those with money to spare have to admit that theres some kind of satisfaction in finding a bargain or getting a good deal. | |||
