The name is unique in and of itself, coming from the geographic dimensions of the city it covers. A city magazine for San Francisco, 7 x 7 offers the West Coast what Gotham offers the East, although the two publications are unrelated. Because of its intriguing content, however, the magazine is able to reach interests beyond those of its regional readers. Furthermore, not only does 7 x 7 serve the city of San Francisco as an entertaining publication, it is able to offer various charities one half of the proceeds from every subscription, the charity chosen by the individual subscriber.
