Surviving on the good will of the very artists featured in the magazine, and with money from a few friendly sources, 3x3 brings contemporary illustration to the newsstands. In the true spirit of the "starving artist," each individual featured put up their own money and time to get their work into the publication. Art is some times far more than paint and canvas. It's also a community of original thinkers and bright minds.
