What is LIA (Life Imitating Art)? Thats a question Sammy DePasquale, editor-in-chief of LIA, was asked quite often in the months prior to his May launch of the magazine. The end result of months of planning and work is not "your typical art magazine," nor is it a "general editorial magazine about life." However, LIA is a magazine about "self-expression." LIA is just that; it is an outlet of self-expression. The voice of LIA is consistent throughout, whether it is in the form of photography, writing, illustrations, paintings, graphic designs, or opinionated commentary. LIA uses lots of free lance submissions to ensure it stays true to the voice of self-expression. In fact each issue will include an entire department solely for free lance submissions. Other departments include photography, "Photo Story Expose." LIAs "Elemental Life Features," cover everything from 2002s Sex and Relationships" to "Carrer Sanity." | |||
