Once again American Media Inc. has launched a one-shot special in commemoration of a past cultural icon. This time, however it happens to be one the largest pop culture figures in American history. The King himself is immortalized from his "early years" as part one of trilogy of magazines commemorating the King. In this latest tardy attempt to capitalize on the 25th anniversary of Presley's death, eighty-eight pages have been devoted to "never-before-seen personal photos." All the pictures are from 1935-1960, Elvis' early years. This is clean cut all-American Elvis. American Media, has not forgotten that Elvis lived 9 more years, they just want you to wait another two months until May before they release part II, "The King." | |||
